EA Reveals More Bond Details
EA Reveals More Bond Details-October 2024
Oct 18, 2024 9:21 AM

Electronic Arts revealed some more details behind The World is not Enough, a Quake III-powered shooter based on the latest Bond movie. As part of a recent agreement signed between EA and MGM Interactive, The World is not Enough will be the first in a series of Bond games to be released by Electronic Arts in the future.

While today's announcement didn't disclose too much new information, EA made it known that players will control James Bond himself (of course) and will have to use a number of weapons, spy gadgets, and women to successfully complete each of the game's fast-paced missions. Like Tomorrow Never Dies (PSX) and Goldeneye 007 (N64) before it, The World is not Enough will use the in-game engine for all of its cutscenes, to make the transition from gameplay to movies as seamless as possible.

The game is currently in development for the PC, the PlayStation2, and the PlayStation (which will be using a proprietary 3D engine, not Quake III). According to Electronic Arts, all three versions of The World Is not Enough will ship simultaneously toward the tail end of 2000. In the meantime, we've managed to wrangle a handful of concept artwork and early screenshots from the game. Be sure to take a look at those.
