Electronic Arts made some waves concerning expanding operations in China back in mid-2004, when it appointed Pogo boss Erick Hachenburg to the post of senior vice president, Global Online Publishing, based in Shanghai.
But after the drumroll and interviews, little movement was seen on EA's Sino front.
The week, however, activity was spotted by analysts at Pacific Epoch, who pointed out in a memo that EA China is now actively recruiting to fill more than 20 jobs in Shanghai. From game designer to QA lead to concept artist, it appears EA has started to staff its Shanghai operations.
