Electronic Arts has today announced that it will release NCAA Football 2005 for all current-generation consoles in July. The latest title in EA's college football franchise will be the first in the series to give players a home-field advantage, with the crowds and game-day atmosphere directly impacting their performances.
Further details on NCAA Football 2005 are scarce at present, although EA has confirmed that the University of Pittsburgh Panthers' Larry Fitzgerald will be the cover athlete for the game. Wide receiver Fitzgerald was the first sophomore ever to be named the Walter Camp Player of the Year, won the Biletnikoff Award as the country's top receiver, and was named a unanimous All-American.
"It's a huge honor to represent NCAA Football 2005, since this is the game my teammates and I always competed on in the dorms," said Fitzgerald. "To grace the cover of the most intense and exciting college football video game is a dream come true for me. I am fired up to be part of the EA Sports family."
We'll bring you more information on NCAA Football 2005 as soon as it becomes available.
