Travis Touchdown is coming back. Following rumors and teases, No More Heroes 3 was officially announced for Nintendo Switch during the Nintendo Direct E3 2019 briefing today.
In No More Heroes 3, Travis Touchdown is the last hero around. He now has an armored suit and a new katana, so he seems to be more powerful than ever. The franchise's signature humor and general outlandish tone appears to remain intact with this third game for Nintendo Switch. The trailer also suggested that the style of melee combat seen in No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle will return, as will recurring character Sylvia Christel.

Now Playing: No More Heroes 3 Reveal Trailer | Nintendo Direct E3 2019
No More Heroes 3 launches in 2020. A specific release date was not announced, but you can check out the debut trailer above.
Today's announcement is no big surprise, as designer Goichi Suda AKA Suda51 of developer Grasshopper Manufacture teased an E3 announcement back in May. The ending to the recent No More Heroes spin-off Travis Strikes Again very strongly suggested that a new No More Heroes game was in development.
The No More Heroes series has a come on Nintendo consoles. The franchise started with 2007's No More Heroes for Nintendo Wii. It was followed up by No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, which was also released on Wii. The spin-off Travis Strikes Again came out in early 2019 for Nintendo Switch. All of the games were published by Ubisoft in North America.
