Ubisoft, the French game publisher that recently bought the rights to the Driver franchise, today announced it had promoted businessman Marc Fiorentino to the publisher's board of directors. Yvette Guillemot--the mother of Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot--was the previous director, playing a part in Ubisoft's corporate strategy the last 10 years before resigning from the board. Fiorentino has worked at banking institutions such as Bank of America and PaineWebber. He is also a frequent commentator on business and finance news for French radio networks. Fiorentino called Ubisoft "an international powerhouse." "Serving on Ubisoft's board of directors will offer me an opportunity to promote entrepreneurship in France," he said.
