Forza Horizon 2 will launch September 30 across the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, Microsoft announced today during its E3 press conference. Previously, the game was confirmed for a release sometime this fall.
The Xbox One version is in development at Playground Games (Forza Motorsport 5), while Sumo Digital (Sonic & All-Stars Racing) is handling the Xbox 360 iteration. On the Xbox One, you can expect the game to run in 1080p at a locked 30fps.
Also during the presentation today, Microsoft announced that a new track for Forza Motorsport 5--Nurburgring--is now available to download for free.
