TOKYO--Microsoft Japan says it will publish Double S.T.E.A.L.: The Second Clash for the Xbox. The game from Tokyo developer Bunkasha Games will hit the Japanese market on August 4, 2005, and it will retail for 5,800 yen ($54).
The action racer is a sequel to Double S.T.E.A.L., which was originally published in North America by Activision as Wreckless: The Yakuza Missions for the Xbox, PS2, and GameCube.
There is no indication of a release outside of Japan at this time.
The Double S.T.E.A.L. sequel will be set in Chicago, and it will have a racing environment eight times larger than the original, says Microsoft. An expansion of various weapon-equipped cars, trucks, and military vehicles has been promised. Ranking and minigames will be included. Additionally, the game will have a free-run mode where players can race wildly through the streets of Chicago on Xbox Live.
Double S.T.E.A.L.: The Second Clash features both HDTV (D4) and Dolby Digital 5.1 compatibility.
