Doom Eternal's story is not yet over, as id Software have already announced plans for story DLC in the near future. Although there's still no title or release date to speak of, the first two screenshots teasing the narrative content give some indication as to where the Doomslayer is headed to next.
The two images, shared on Twitter, show two very different new areas not present in Eternal's main story. The first looks very similar to Urdak, Eternal's version of Heaven, bit with a less pristine sheen to it compared to how it appeared in Eternal. The second is a massive man-made structure out at sea, and it's unclear whether this is yet another UAC facility overridden with demonic enemies.

Doom Eternal Story DLC TeaserThis Doom Eternal DLC will be missing one component from both the 2016 reboot of Doom and its sequel. Composer Mick Gordon will not be returning to lend his musical talents to the additional content, following disagreements with id Software that resulted in some strange mixing to Eternal's OST. This led to executive producer Marty Straton telling the studio's side of the story, which confirmed that Gordon would not be coming back.
Doom Eternal successfully delivered on living up to the bar set by its earlier reboot. In our 8/10 Doom Eternal review, critic Phil Hornshaw praised the changes to the game's frenetic shooting, saying, "Its combat is just as quick and chaotic, but requires you to constantly analyze everything that's happening in order to come out victorious. Once you get the hang of the rhythm of Doom Eternal, it'll make you feel like a demon-slaying savant."
