Strategy First revealed in August that the sequel to Disciples wouldn't make its scheduled release this year. When GameSpot recently contacted the developer for an update on the game's progress, Strategy First told us that the team is focusing its efforts on programming the new battle system and redoing all of the hand-drawn art work that distinguished the first game.
Disciples II is a turn-based strategy game in which four races - the Empire, the Mountain Clans, the Legions of the Damned, and the Undead Hordes - continue the battle for their respective gods' supremacy. The sequel features a more engaging battle system, upgraded graphics, and enhanced AI.
The game is tentatively scheduled for release in April 2001.
