Diablo IV – How to Unlock Capstone Dungeons-October 2024
Oct 25, 2024 9:31 PM

Diablo IV is a massive game that gives players the chance to complete a lot of different activities, but much of the most exciting content in the game is locked behind progression, such as World Tier 3 and World Tier 4, which increase both the customization possibilities granted to the player and the challenge level.

Unlocking them, however, won't be a walk in the park, as you will first have to unlock and complete special dungeons called Capstone Dungeons. Here's how to do so.

How to Unlock Capstone Dungeons in Diablo IV

Capstone Dungeons are your gateway to World Tier 3 and World Tier 4, which, as mentioned above, make the game more challenging but also more rewarding as in these World Tiers, you will be able to level up your character past the level 50 cap of the first two tiers and get even more powerful gear that will help you deal with the powerful enemies you will face.

The first Capstone Dungeon, a level 50 dungeon, is unlocked after completing the main campaign. Head to the Cathedral of Light in Kyovashad to enter the dungeon, which can only be completed in World Tier 2, so switch to it if you haven't already by interacting with the statue in the city. Once inside the dungeon, you will have to complete a series of challenges, which involve gathering Animus from the Revenant Knights and defeating the members of the High Council, who will fight you all together in an intense boss battle. After one more challenge, you will have to fight The Curator, and after defeating him, you will unlock World Tier 3.

The other two Capstone Dungeons in Diablo IV are unlocked by leveling up to level 70 and 100. The level 70 Capstone Dungeon, which can be found in the Dry Steppes, unlocks World Tier 4, while the final level 100 Capstone Dungeon is one of the ultimate Diablo IV challenges and one that only a few players will be able to even take on at this moment, as it takes a lot of time and dedication to get to level 100 in the current version of the game.
