Devil May Cry 5 Is Being Designed As A “Complete Experience”, Nothing To Announce At This Time Regarding DLC-October 2024

Not counting Ninja Theory's Dmc, the other entries in the Devil May Cry series haven't received any major DLC expansion, and it seems like this could be the case for Devil May Cry 5 as well.

Speaking at Gamescom 2018 with Gamez.de, Devil May Cry 5 director Hideaki Itsuno revealed that there are currently no DLC plans for the game, as it is being developed as a complete single-player experience.

Hideaki Itsuno also talked about the game's connections with Devil May Cry 2. Dante's motorcycle in Devil May Cry 5 is not the same as the one seen in Devil May Cry 2, but the game will feature plenty of connections between the two games, which is a first for any entry in the series, as the second Devil May Cry game is often forgotten, most likely due to being not as good as all the other games.

Itsuno also talked about Nero and Dante being the main characters of Devil May Cry 5, with both of their stories being equally important. Like in Devil May Cry 4, Nero is an entry-level character, while Dante will come with more techniques and mechanics.

Devil May Cry 5 received plenty of footage during Gamescom 2018, and more has come in yesterday, with a video showcasing the game running on base PlayStation 4. While the game may not look as good as it does on PlayStation 4 Pro, performance definitely looks solid.

Devil May Cry 5 launches on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 8th.
