Tomorrow at 5 p.m. BST, Square Enix will launch the latest trailer for its upcoming cyberpunk action RPG Deus Ex: Human Revolution. In preparation, Square Enix gave us a first look at the animated short, as well as an exclusive new image from the trailer ahead of its release.
The animation of the promo comes courtesy of Square Enix's Visual Works team, which produced computer-generated animations for Final Fantasy XIII. This has resulted in a particularly shiny animation, with all the hallmarks of the studio's previous efforts, such as meticulously detailed hair. The collaboration between developer Eidos Montreal and Square's Japanese studio is also noteworthy for being the first of its kind since Square Enix bought Eidos last year.
This announcement is brought to you by the Shimato Dominguez Corporation--helping America into the New World. Deus Ex: Human Revolution is set in 2027, before the events of the first Deus Ex game. The trailer shows the civil unrest that is taking place--corporations are now more powerful than the governments, allowing for "great evolution," according to the trailer's narrator. The video shows hands that turn into guns, active camouflage abilities, and energy shields, although the protagonist says, "I never had a choice of what happened to me."
Watch out for the latest Deus Ex: Human Revolution trailer on GameSpot tomorrow, Friday, June 4, at 5 p.m. BST.
