Despite Being Bethesda.net “Exclusive”, Fallout 76 PC can be Pre-ordered Via the Microsoft Store-October 2024

Despite being confirmed as being available exclusively through Bethesda.net, the upcoming Fallout 76 PC can apparently be pre-ordered through the Microsoft Store.

Earlier this month we reported on how the PC version of Fallout 76 and its B.E.T.A. won’t be available through Steam, and will only be available through Bethesda’s own digital platform.

“The PC version of Fallout 76, for both the B.E.T.A. and the launch, will be available only via Bethesda.net, not on Steam,” a Bethesda rep wrote to PCGamer in an email.

It seems that this statement isn’t entirely correct as the upcoming new Fallout multiplayer game has now appeared on Microsoft’s own store and can now be pre-order ahead of its release later this year. Both the regular and Tricentennial Edition, which includes additional content, are up for pre-ordering on the Microsoft Store.

On social media, fans are suggesting a deal between Microsoft and Bethesda to offer Play Anywhere support for the game, but this hasn’t been officially confirmed yet. Bethesda’s free-to-play Fallout Shelter also supports this feature.

As always, we will keep you updated on this matter.
