What transpired was the most action-packed game of the event thus far with both teams trading rounds on inferno. Led by Counter-Strike 1.6 superstar Jordan 'n0thing' Gilbert, Complexity ran a trick play in the final round of the match to plant the bomb at the A site instead of the B to secure them the top spot in Group C.

　　Copenhagen Wolves topped Group D with wins over SK Gaming and Astana Dragons. What looked to be an early exit for Astana Dragons out of the event after a 9-0 deficit against Reason Gaming in the losers match, Dauren 'AdreN' Kystaubayev led the dragons on a comeback to secure themselves a spot in the playoffs. The Quarterfinals will see Complexity face-off against Astana Dragons, and CPH Wolves take on VeryGames.

　　SK Gaming, herald as having one of the greatest Counter-Strike teams of all time, was eliminated early by CPH Wolves and Reason Gaming. They join Na'Vi and Universal Soldiers as former top teams in 1.6 that have not yet been successful in CS:GO.
