Compile Seeks Court Protection-October 2024
Oct 18, 2024 4:27 PM

TOKYO - On March 18, software developer Compile began restructuring proceedings in Hiroshima District Court. Compile currently is carrying about 7.5 billion yen of debt.

The company is still eager to stay active in the business, and the plan is to still man its booth at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show.

The company will show an RPG title called WakuWaku Puyo Puyo Dengeon for the Saturn.

Compile's reputation was built on its vertical shooters such as Blazing Lazers (TG16) and Space Mega Force (SNES). But recently it has been known for a single title, the puzzle game Puyo Puyo.
