Following a record financial year that saw its turnover reach £76 million ($136.84 million), Codemasters today announced that it is looking to accelerate its investment in externally developed and acquired titles. Codemasters is eager to work with any game developers seeking publishing opportunities and is signing titles for both current and next-generation platforms.

　　"I would be delighted to hear from game developers with unsigned titles and those who are not satisfied with their current publishing arrangements," said Nick Wheelwright, managing director at Codemasters. "We are continuously looking for great games and have achieved top chart positions with titles published on behalf of our external development companies. More recently, having fully established our USA operation, we are able to offer full sales, marketing, and distribution in both North America and PAL territories."

　　"We will be at GDC and E3 to meet game developers the world over to discuss the publishing opportunities Codemasters delivers," added Gary Rowe, Codemasters' head of acquisitions. "Acquired and externally developed titles continue to play a major part in Codemasters' success and benefit from a cooperative development process. We maintain a studio dedicated to working alongside external teams, providing game design input and development support as necessary."

　　Externally developed titles that Codemasters has previously enjoyed success with include the Operation Flashpoint series, Prisoner of War, Soldier of Fortune, IGI 2, and IndyCar Series. Upcoming externally developed titles on Codemasters' release schedule include Wartime Command, Soldiers: Heroes of World War II, Perimeter, and MTV Music Generator 3.
