THQ has announced that it will publish Chicken Run for the Game Boy Color. The game will be developed by Blitz Games - the company responsible for the Dreamcast, PlayStation, and PC versions. In Chicken Run for the GBC, players assume the role of Ginger as they take part in mission-based action in environments inspired by the film. Ginger must lead the occupants of "Hut 17" and the other chickens on the Tweedy farm to safety from the chicken pie machine.
"The movie Chicken Run has proven to be a fun-filled family hit and is on its way to break [US]$100 million in the domestic box office this summer," said Germaine Gioia, vice president of licensing for THQ. "The Game Boy Color system is more popular than ever, and we are delighted to be working with Dreamworks and Blitz Games in adding such a high-profile game to THQ's extensive Game Boy Color library."
Chicken Run for the Game Boy Color will be released worldwide in fall 2000.
