Capcom announced this week that it plans to release a new 2D fighting game based on the popular Japanese cartoon series Jojo no Kimyouna Bouken (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure). JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is the latest Capcom game to use its new "CP-System III" arcade hardware, and as you can see from the screenshots, it looks impressive.
The game will feature the series' trademark stand attacks (players are said to be able to program the attack commands). Whether this is merely set up like a Street Fighter Alpha-style custom combo or is something more, well, we'll have to wait and see.
The game will include eleven different fighters. Here's the roster: Jataro, Kakyoin, Joseph, Alessy, Midler, Chaca, Dio, Iggi, Polnareff, D'bo, and Avdol.
The game is scheduled for release this spring. Until then, check out the screens and character art for the game. And keep checking back for more info as it becomes available.
