Capcom donates Street Fighter IV iPhone sales to Japan quake relief-April 2024
Apr 18, 2025 11:05 AM

Due to Japan's devastating earthquake and tsunami last Friday, many local game companies are either conserving power by shutting off online game services or donating money to help out. Capcom recently announced its relief plan on its website, and its one that involves one of its mainstay franchises.

From March 15 until March 21, the iOS version of Street Fighter IV will cost only $0.99 both in and outside Japan. Capcom announced that all sales for the game during the week will go to relief efforts.

The company is also set to donate 100 million yen. In addition, the company will shorten or, if necessary, close amusement center opening hours and office hours in areas under the coverage of the Tokyo Electric Power and Tohoku Electric Power company.

Capcom recently cancelled this year's Monster Hunter Festa, an event that brings the Monster Hunter community together, which was supposed to be held from March 13 until April 10 all across Japan.
