Capcom USA today announced additions to staff that add depth to the US subsidiary of one of Japan's powerhouse publishers.
Three new execs join president Hiroshi Tobisawa in the company's Sunnyvale headquarters. Mark Beaumont joins as senior vice president of sales and marketing, Midori Yuasa signs on as general manager and senior vice president of the company's just-announced mobile and interactive division, and Michael Rubinelli joins as vice president, business development/third-party product acquisition and development.
Each staffer comes with a portfolio of significant experience. Beaumont was most recently at Midway, where he was senior vice president of entertainment; Yuasa, to be based in Los Angeles, comes from Sony Pictures Digital, and prior to that held roles at a number of Sony's mobile-phone divisions; and Rubinelli comes to Capcom off of a consultant stint for Take-Two Interactive. Prior to that, he was vice president of product development at THQ, and before that, a vice president of product acquisition and vice president of third-party development at Midway.
In a statement, Tobisawa said, "These new team members bring strong leadership and experience to Capcom that are pivotal to our future."
Tobisawa took over the reins of Capcom USA back in September 2003, when the company's long-standing boss, Bill Gardner, departed to run 0-3 Entertainment.
