Got vacation plans this summer? Quake fans might want to consider taking in Fragapalooza, a four-day Quake fest set to take over a Canadian airplane hangar in Edmonton, Alberta, for four days in July. Why an airplane hangar? Well, as Fragapalooza organizers put it, "There's something comforting about being able to fit 300 of your closest friends and their computers in a room and still have enough space left over to take apart a small jet."
It could even be a relatively cheap vacation to boot. Frag-goers could rent rooms in nearby hotels, but, again according to fest organizers, "Last year, people brought tents and sleeping bags and set them up in an area of the hangar we sectioned off - it's free, it's convenient, and when you wake up you're only seconds from your computer. It's almost like being at home, assuming you live with over 300 other people in an airplane hangar filled with computers."
Fragapalooza is scheduled to run July 16-19.
