Activision today revealed the dates that the Xbox One and PC versions of the Call of Duty: Black Ops III multiplayer beta will run: August 26 through August 30.
That stretch comes just a few days after the PlayStation 4's version of the beta, which will run from August 19-23. It's headed to that platform first as part of Sony's new exclusivity arrangement for Call of Duty, which will see DLC come to PlayStation platforms first.

Activision and Treyarch aren't yet sharing what exactly the beta will consist of in terms of maps or modes. Today's announcement only mentions that players will get to "try the new momentum-based, chained movement system, find the perfect Specialist to fit their play style, get a feel for the new multiplayer maps, and more."
Access to the beta is restricted to those who preorder. Doing so gets you an access code that you can redeem on the official Call of Duty website.
The full version of Black Ops III is set for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on November 6. We recently learned about the game's new Zombies mode, which will star Jeff Goldblum and Ron Perlman. For more, check out why the game's sense of familiarity is and isn't a good thing.
