Activision has today announced the North American release of Cabela's Dangerous Hunts for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. The game, which carries a suggested retail price of $29.99, allows players to hunt more than 27 big-game animals in 12 exotic locations around the world.
"Cabela's Dangerous Hunts presents players with a series of hunting challenges that emphasize their skills, which improve based on their performance in the game," said Patrick Kelly, vice president of studios at Activision Value Publishing. "For the first time ever, this is a hunting game where the hunter can easily become the hunted."
The game's primary mode of play is career hunt, in which players create an RPG-style character for themselves before embarking on hunting challenges that change with the seasons. Other gameplay options include quick hunt and action zone modes and the ability to spend money earned for taking big trophies on new firearms, clothing, tents, and scents.
