It appears the next Mass Effect game is only just beginning development. BioWare executive producer Casey Hudson asked his 30,000+ Twitter followers last night if they would prefer the next Mass Effect game to be a prequel to the original trilogy or a sequel.
"Parsing through your thoughts on the next #ME game," he wrote. "Would you be more interested in a game that takes place before the trilogy, or after?"
A follow-up to Mass Mass Effect 3 was announced in September. Just last week, BioWare revealed the project was in development at the studio's Montreal outfit under the direction of Hudson. The game will run on Battlefield technology Frostbite and will reportedly be "very respectful" of the franchise's history, though BioWare is pursuing "new directions" for the series with regards to gameplay and story.
