Season 5 of the highly acclaimed Breaking Bad prequel Better Call Saul premieres next month, with Bob Odenkirk reprising his role as shady lawyer Saul Goodman. It has now been confirmed that AMC has greenlit Season 6.

　　The company has revealed that the sixth season will go into production later this year and will air in 2021. Sadly for fans, this will also be the final season of Better Call Saul. But at least Season 6 will be the longest, with a 13 episode order, compared to 10 in each previous season.

　　Like Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul was created by Vince Gilligan. It premiered in 2015, two years after the end of Breaking Bad. The cast has included a number of actors from the earlier show, including Jonathan Banks as Mike Ehrmantraut and Giancarlo Esposito as Gus Fring, plus Rhea Seehorn and Michael McKean.

　　Better Call Saul Season 5 premieres on February 23rd on AMC, and the latest trailer was released earlier this month. In a recent interview with Digital Spy, Odenkirk spoke about what fans could expect from Goodman--real name Jimmy McGill--in the new season. "He just needs to get the office and come up with the idea that, 'Who will be beneficiary of these particular skills? Who would value them the most?'" he said. "I don't think it's a long journey to drug dealers and scumbags, who are gonna appreciate how fast and loose I play with the truth."
