The numbers for the best selling games for March have been made available by PC Data, and the results aren't surprising. Despite the recent sales surge of Maxis' The Sims, it couldn't overcome Disney's Who Wants to be a Millionaire, which ran away with first place last month. The Sims took a close second. Notable sellers include Unreal Tournament (9), which outsold Quake III Arena (18). Interestingly, two of Havas' games, Starcraft and Half-life remain top sellers, although they've been on sale for two years. Starcraft rounded out March in eighth place and Half-Life in tenth place.
PC Data also announced the top-selling games for the week ending April 8, and again there was no surprise here. The Sims walked away with first place, while Millionaire claimed second place. Mattel's Lego Island beat out Roller Coaster Tycoon for third place, and Activision's Star Trek: Armada climbed to the fifth position.
