Battlefield V is going to feature plenty of customization options for both characters and guns, but it's not yet completely clear how players will be able to alter their guns. A few new details have emerged online thanks to the Alpha, which is now available to select Origin users.
Reddit user ActualSlypear posted on the Battlefield subreddit a list of gun skins that has been found in the Alpha's files.
Interestingly enough, sets of skins seem to come in multiple tiers, most likely for rarity, which should make obtaining them more difficult and time-consuming.
Tier 0:
Default
Inactive
Tier 1:
Captured
Sprayed Green
Sprayed White
Sprayed Brown
Tier 2:
Pattern Desert
Pattern Winter
Pattern Woodland
Urban Tactical
Tier 3:
Chromed
Factory New
Night Operation
Two-Tone Bluing
Tier 4:
Custom Desert
Custom Winter
Custom Woodland
Engraved Gold
Speaking about cosmetic items, DICE Producer Andreas Morrell recently talked about vanity items, saying that they will be believable and fit with the era.
It needs to be believable. It needs to fit with the era. We’re not creating a steampunk universe or anything like that. But if it was used, we can have it. Doing research for this, we stumbled across a guy called ‘Mad Jack’ Churchill, a British guy who was part of the Norwegian campaign. He was the only one who’s got a confirmed kill with a sword in World War Il. He used to go into battle with a bagpipe and a Scottish broadsword.
