Majority of Fortnite Growth Came from Consoles Last Month; Estimated to Have Harvested $318 Million Across all Platforms-September 2024

Epic’s Fortnite is estimated to have grossed around $318 million across all platforms last month, while the majority of growth came from PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

According to sales data from SuperData Research, the insanely popular Battle-Royale shooter surpassed the $300 million mark last month, although growth is slowing down. Ranked by earnings, the title was the top-grossing title on console, followed by FIFA 18 and Call of Duty: WWII.

“Fortnite hits a new high but growth is slowing down”, SuperData writes. “We estimate that Fortnite made $318 million across all platforms in May, up 7% from April. The majority of growth came from console, with mobile and PC both coming in flat compared to April.”

Another interesting tidbit from the sales data is that Star Wars Battlefront II players don’t seem to care for EA’s recently reintroduced microtransactions in the game. “Reception has been pretty muted so far”, the article reads. “SWBF2 Additional Content in May fell short of the levels seen across other top games this year.”

Fortnite is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and iOS, while Star Wars Battlefront is available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
