DICE is heavy at work on Battlefield 1, and the team showed what they have achieved so far last week during the E3 2016. Work has been proceeding smoothly, and plenty of new details have started emerging online this week. A few hours ago, it's been confirmed that one feature that was available in previous entries won't be making a comeback.

　　A few hours ago, DICE's Julian Manolov confirmed that players will not be able to launch Battlefield 1 games from web browsers. At the same time, it seems like that what's coming in place of this feature is going to be much better than anything we have seen before. Unfortunately, the fate of Battlelog isn't clear at the moment, but we will surely learn more about the matter soon.

　　In games such as the Battlefield titles, weapon balancing is extremely important, and the team is doing everything it can to make sure that the Battlefield 1 experience will be as balanced as possible at launch. A few hours ago, DICE's producer David Sirland confirmed that two guys from Symthic are working with DICE on Battlefield 1's weapon balancing.

　　Yup, this is true. We hired two guys from there actually! (Which were also helping during BF4 and CTE).

　　We couldn't be happier with their performance and the stuff they've been working on since either!

　　This kind of thing will probably continue as we keep opening up and collaborating with the community like we have. It's awesome to be able to do that, and I especially love that there is a way into gamedev that is not straight up school.

　　David Sirland also mentioned that they're currently working on a bunch of stuff, including netcode and some other things he cannot talk about currently.

　　Earlier this week, David Sirland confirmed that Battlefield 1 will sport a 60Hz default tick rate, which should make the online experience extremely smooth. Other details on the game's mechanics and features have come in thanks to a user who have played the game recently through the EA Game Changers Program.

　　Battlefield 1 launches this October in all regions on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
