While it may appear that the PlayStation Network trumps Xbox Live Arcade for sheer volume of titles this week, many of the new releases have been available for some time on Microsoft's download service. Alien Breed 3: Decent is an isometric shooter from Team 17 (of Worms fame), while TNT Racers is an arcade title that features cars, weapons, and power-ups. Aside from those two titles, there's also the usual assortment of new demos and PlayStation Classics.
Bejeweled returns to Xbox Live Arcade again this week, with Bejeweled Blitz Live. First appearing on Facebook last year, the biggest difference between normal Bejeweled and Blitz is the 60-second time limit that accompanies each match. If you're not convinced you need another Bejeweled game in your life, there's a demo out for Bejeweled Blitz Live that will give you an idea of what to expect before shelling out your precious Microsoft points.
As for Nintendo's digital distribution services, the Bit.Trip series enters its sixth and final chapter this week, with the release of Bit.Trip Flux. Probably the best way to describe this one is to think of it as a mash-up of various gameplay elements from the last few games, which pays homage to what long-term players of the franchise have been through.
