If you like puzzles and motorbikes, which admittedly are a bit of an odd combination, you'll be pleased to find that Trials HD came out on Xbox Live Arcade this week. Similar to the flash game before it, Trial HD is a physics-based platformer, which revolves around getting your motorcycle to the end of the course. If you gun the engine too hard you'll miss the mark, but if you don't go fast enough, you'll end up in a pitt. The game's online leaderboard is sure to get competitive as people jostle for the highest scores. fTrial HD came out on Wednesday and will set you back 1200 Microsoft Points.
Slot car racing comes to the Wii this week with WiiWare title, Family Slot Car Racing. In it you get to pick your character from either mum, dad, son, or daughter, and race against each other on the tiny (virtual) electric track. If that doesn't tickle your fancy, then maybe a collection of 12 waggle-tastic mini-games will! 3-2-1, Rattle Battle! is a collection of 12 mini-games, which range from shooting lasers at enemies, to shrinking in size to avoid a storm of arrows. Both games are available now for 500 Nintendo Points each.
On the Virtual Console front, Phantasy Star from the Sega Master System days is now available and came out over night. PS was the first game in Sega's famous Japanese-RPG series and sees you battling a cruel monarchy and seeking revenge for killing your brother. This will set you back 500 Nintendo Points.
Flipnote Studio allows you to create simple flipbook-animations of your drawings, and also lets you upload your work. Players can add sounds recorded with the DSi's microphone and photos taken with the DSi's camera to create original masterpieces—for free! The second piece of DSiWare this week is Sujin Taisen: Number Battles for 500 Nintendo points. A puzzle game, Sujin Taisen challenges the player to link numbered tiles in sequences and patterns to reach a score. Some tiles grant additional effects, making a game against either the computer or up to three human opponents fun that can last for hours.
Two weeks after it's release on Xbox Live Arcade, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 has finally made its way onto the PlayStation Network Store. Keep an eye out for our review of this one soon.
