Asus HDMI 2.1 Monitor Finally Gets A Release Window-October 2024

  With the release of the PS5 and Xbox Series X, people have been investing in new HDMI 2.1 4K TVs to enjoy the consoles' 4K and 120Hz capabilities. The first gaming monitors to feature HDMI 2.1 ports have yet to be released, but at CES 2021, Asus has given us another look at its upcoming Asus ROG Swift PG32UQ gaming monitor and revealed when we'll be able to get our hands on it. No pricing details have been revealed, but you can expect it to arrive by the end of March.

  The Asus ROG Swift PG32UQ is a 32-inch IPS gaming monitor with two HDMI 2.1 ports, allowing for 4K and 120Hz via the new HDMI technology or 4K and 144Hz via a DisplayPort 1.4 cable. This means you can take full advantage of the new HDMI 2.1 output of the new RTX 30 series graphics cards or the PS5 and Xbox Series X.

  The PG32UQ also features G-Sync compatibility via FreeSync and Asus's "Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync" and "Variable Overdrive" tech, all of which help provide a smooth experience when playing with variable frame rates. And as for the display itself, the monitor boasts DisplayHDR 600.
