All Blacks GBA SP for New Zealand
All Blacks GBA SP for New Zealand-October 2024
Oct 22, 2024 2:02 PM

Monaco Corporation, Nintendo's distributor in New Zealand, has today announced plans to release a special-edition All Blacks GBA SP on September 19. The console, which bears the same logo worn by New Zealand's national rugby team, is expected to retail for around NZ$249.95 (US$142).

"Monaco Corporation is extremely excited to be launching the special-edition All Blacks Game Boy Advance SP. With the Rugby World Cup looming and the already broad appeal of the All Blacks brand, we have a real opportunity to stimulate the youth market for the NZRU," said Ben Ward, gaming manager of Monaco Corporation. "Approximately 40,000 Game Boy Advance units have been sold in New Zealand since the launch in June 2001. The initiative to create a synergy between Nintendo and the All Blacks will further cement the Game Boy Advance SP as the dominant handheld gaming console for this Christmas."
