Activision announced on Thursday that it has obtained the rights to release Alundra 2 for the PlayStation in the US. The company states that it now has the worldwide publishing rights to the game (except those to Japan and other Asian countries).
"We are proud to have been selected as Sony Computer Entertainment's third-party publisher for Alundra 2 and look forward to building an ongoing relationship with Sony Computer Entertainment," said Mitch Lasky, executive vice president of Activision Studios. "The sequel's addictive gameplay and technological advancements will captivate hard-core gamers and casual adventurers, alike."
Developed by Matrix and produced by Contrail - a satellite company of Sony Computer Entertainment - Alundra 2 is scheduled for a release this November in Japan for 5,800 yen (about US$54). A US release is slated for spring 2000.
