Activision announced today that it expected to report net revenues between US$55 and $58 million for the fourth quarter ending March 31, 1998, which means earnings will "roughly break even."

　　For the full fiscal year also ending on March 31, Activision expects to report net revenues around $257 or $260 million, with earnings at around $0.30 per share.

　　"While financial results for the fourth quarter are disappointing, they have to be viewed in the context of what was otherwise a positive year for the company," stated Robert A. Kotick, chairman and CEO of Activision. "Revenues are nearly triple those reported last year, due to both substantial internal growth and a successful corporate acquisitions program. Likewise, significant progress was made toward achieving the strategic objectives we articulated at the beginning of the year. In particular, we have diversified our revenue base, expanded our worldwide distribution capabilities, increased our presence in the console market, and strengthened our stable of franchise properties."

　　Wall Street took note of the company's projections. Activision stock took a loss today, closing down 1 at 10 1/2 at the end of trading this March 24, 1998.
