100 Thieves, the gaming organization known for running teams in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Fortnite esports competitions, has announced that its upcoming Black Lives Matter charity tournament has been delayed. The four-week competition, Gamers for Equality, will no longer start on June 18 because publisher Activision has allegedly denied the organization access to use Call of Duty: Warzone.

　　In a tweet by 100 Thieves, the organization said it hopes to "still host [the Gamers for Equality] tournament and are working to find alternative solutions." The competition--which was scheduled to happen on June 18, June 25, July 2, and July 9--was a Warzone tournament raising money to support organizations fighting racial injustice, with 100 Thieves donating $100,000 over the four-week period. A new start date for Gamers for Equality has yet to be announced.

　　Activision has not yet said anything publicly about the matter, and we have reached out to the company for comment.

　　According to sources who spoke to esports consultant Rod Breslau, 100 Thieves refused to run the tournament without a sponsor and neglected to talk to Activision about using Warzone for the competition before making its original announcement earlier this month.

　　In other Warzone news, developers Infinity Ward and Raven Software have announced a new playlist update will hit the game on June 18. The update will add the Plunder variant, Blood Money, as well as weapon bundles and other additions later this week. Furthermore, the rumored 200-player Warzone mode seems to be true, with players discovering details of it in leaked images.
