Sony announced today that it has sold more than 9.7 million PlayStation 4 games since launch. This includes copies sold in retail stores and through the PlayStation Store.
Sony has sold 4.2 million PS4 units so far, meaning the system's attach rate--that is, how many games the average user has purchased--sits at around 2.3. Some of the top-selling games, Sony said, were Call of Duty: Ghosts, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Battlefield 4, FIFA 14, and Killzone: Shadow Fall.
Sony also reported today that global PlayStation Plus subscriptions have increased by more than 90 percent since the PS4's launch.
Finally, Sony announced that users have broadcast more than 1.7 million streams from their PS4 systems to date through services like Twitch and Ustream for a total of 55 million minutes. Twitch separately announced today that 20 percent of their users are PS4 owners.
The PS4 is currently available in 53 countries around the world and will launch in Japan on February 22.
