People really do like watching Pokemon on Twitch.
The video streaming site's 24-hour Pokemon animation marathon is currently seeing more than 50,000 concurrent viewers. At press time, this number stands at around 57,000. A Twitch representative tells GameSpot the site has seen the number reach 72,000. You can watch the stream through this embed:
The marathon ends tonight at 6 PM PST / 9 PM EST.
This is being done, of course, to celebrate Pokemon's 20th anniversary, which was on February 27. GameSpot is celebrating as well with some new written and video features. See them below.
The Pokemon animation livestream is proving popular, but it doesn't come to close to the site's Bob Ross marathon at the end of 2015. It was so popular (reaching 183,000 concurrent viewers) that Twitch created a weekly show for it.
