Sony and Ubisoft are teaming up for a special PlayStation 4 hardware bundle in Europe. The new bundle comes with a 1 TB jet black PS4, a physical copy of Assassin's Creed Syndicate, and a digital copy of 2014's Watch Dogs. Pricing for this bundle was not mentioned in Sony's official announcement, and so far, it's been confirmed only for Europe.
Sony launched the "Ultimate Player Edition" 1 TB PS4 model earlier this summer in Europe and PAL territories. But the console, which is also lighter and more energy efficient, has never been released in the US. Instead, all PS4 bundles in the US come with 500 GB on-board hard drives (though these can be swapped out). By comparison, Microsoft offers all manner of 1 TB Xbox One consoles.
Assassin's Creed Syndicate will also offer exclusive content on PS4 by way of 10 Penny Dreadful-themed missions. This mission pack, announced at E3 in June, is called "The Dreadful Crimes."
The Assassin's Creed Syndicate release date is set for October 23 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, while the PC edition arrives November 19. The game is not coming to Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3.
In other news about Assassin's Creed Syndicate, Ubisoft has announced a new DLC pack based on infamous serial killer Jack the Ripper.
