Konami announced today that it has shipped Zone of the Enders for the PlayStation 2 to retailers. Zone of the Enders is a cinematic story-driven game where players take control of a large robot and attempt to protect a space colony from invaders. Zone of the Enders was developed by the same group responsible for the PlayStation tactical espionage simulation Metal Gear Solid and its upcoming sequel on the PlayStation 2, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. Zone of the Enders will ship with a short playable demonstration of Metal Gear Solid 2.
