There are many avenues that Aussies can take to show their displeasure at Australia's lack of an R18+ classification for video games. They can write to their local member of parliament, sign any of the many pro-R18+ petitions going around, or they could take a more novel approach and dress up as a zombie.
A group of Sydney residents plan to take to the streets dressed as zombies on March 27 and walk around the city CBD to protest the current ratings system. While there's no formal Web site for the protest, the event does have a Facebook event page that is being organised by the Aus Gamers United group, which is "aiming to get...some justice and common sense injected into the legislation regarding the rating system here in Australia."
GameSpot AU has contacted the event's organisers to find out exactly how a group of zombies walking down the street translates into a pro-R18+ rally or to see how they expect people to respond when they see them coming, but the organisers have not responded at time of publication.
