Zelda: Ocarina of Time Unreal Engine 5-Powered 25th Anniversary Celebratory Video Looks Truly Breathtaking-October 2024

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was released 25 years ago, and today a dedicated fan released an impressive Unreal Engine 5-powered video that celebrates the game's legacy in the best possible way.

The new video, which was shared by RwanLink, showcases an Unreal Engine 5-powered project the developer has been working on for four months. While we had a first glimpse of the recreation of Castle Town earlier this month with a short teaser, those few sequences definitely do not compare with the final project, which looks truly breathtaking, making us wish for an official remake done with this visual style influenced by the Studio Ghibli trademark style.

Unfortunately, it seems like Nintendo isn't interested in remaking The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time anytime soon. What is unarguably the most popular entry in the series was only remade for the Nintendo 3DS a while back, introducing some updated visuals and gameplay tweaks that took advantage of the console's unique capabilities. PC players can also enjoy the original game with the updated assets from the 3DS release thanks to a recent update of the native Ship of Harkinian port.

The latest entry in the series is The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. You can learn more about the game by checking out Nathan's review.
