Earlier today, we have reported that the Nintendo Switch has done great on the market in North America, selling over 906.000 units since release. This isn't the only good news for Nintendo, as the console's most anticipated title as performed great as well.
According to a Nintendo press release, The Legend of Zelda Breath Of The Wild sold over 1.3 million copies in North America, with the majority of sales being of the Switch release, around 925.000. This pretty much means that Zelda Breath Of The Wild Switch has an attach rate of over 100%, most likely due to customers not being able to get the console alongside the game. The Wii U version of the game sold 460.000, which is a respectable amount.
Despite some small setbacks, some of them fixed with updates, The Legend of Zelda Breath Of The Wild is one of the best entries in the series and one of the best open world games of recent times. In his review, Dave noted that the game has set a new bar, making it an essential play for any self-respecting gamer.
Minor technical problems aside, this is one of gaming’s greatest and most storied series returning with something we’ve never seen before. Breaking all the conventions of the series, and even a few general gaming conventions, Breath of the Wild is essential for any self-respecting gamer. A new bar has been set in open world gaming.
Zelda Breath of the Wild is now available on Switch and Wii U in all regions. Additional content will release during the year.
