Zack Snyder Releases Black-And-White Justice League Trailer
Zack Snyder Releases Black-And-White Justice League Trailer-October 2024
Oct 20, 2024 11:45 PM

Snyder Cut fans collectively got their voices heard, as there is now a release date for what is officially being called Justice League: The Director's Cut. Now it's time to remember that you get what you asked for: We're getting a four-part version of the director's version of the movie on HBO Max next year, though Zack Snyder is now indicating that his "ideal" version of the movie is a black-and-white IMAX version of the movie. That's something to bear in mind, and also take as a potential green light to start pushing for, based on Snyder's recent tweet of a black-and-white trailer for the director's cut.

"My ideal version of the movie is the black-and-white IMAX version of the movie," Snyder explained in an interview with ScreenCrush. "That, to me, is the most fan-centric, most pure, most Justice League experience. Because that’s how I lived with the movie for two years, in black-and-white…when I do the live-stream of the trailer... I colored a black-and-white version of the trailer."

Justice League: The Director's Cut will feature footage both old and new--it was recently revealed that original footage was shot on the Fantastic Beasts 3 set. All that's known about this footage is it features Flash actor Ezra Miller either only reshooting previous footage or filling in the gaps with some new ideas. In an interview with Beyond the Trailer, Snyder explained that while traveling to London was not a possibility with the pandemic, "So what we did was we picked him up on a Zoom, and the Fantastic Beasts crew, I sent them these drawings. I was like, 'Okay, this is what he has to do, this is where he is.'"

Elsewhere, Snyder also indicated that his original vision for Justice League: The Director's cut was to have the story span two movies. Depending on how the first four installations are received, it may only be a matter of time before another grassroots internet campaign spins up to push for the next movie and its potential myriad versions?
