Sony revealed yesterday as part of the comprehensive PlayStation 4 FAQ that the next-generation console would not support DLNA or MP3 playback at launch.
Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida addressed this on Twitter after the announcement, saying he has heard the feedback and will share it with developers.
"Thanks for the feedback to the lack of MP3 and DLNA support at the launch of PS4. I'll share with the PS4 Dev team for future consideration," Yoshida said.
It appears that Yoshida may have already held this discussion with the team.
"Had a very good discussion w the PS4 Dev team today. We're happy & appreciative to learn so many people use and like PS3's media features," Yoshida said in a follow-up tweet.
The PS4 will also not support external hard drives at launch, though the system has a 500GB internal hard drive that can be expanded.
The PS4 launches in just over two weeks in North America on November 15, before coming to Europe on November 29.
