Xtreme Games Denies Allegations
Xtreme Games Denies Allegations-October 2024
Oct 26, 2024 6:18 PM

The suit is based on Hasbro's claim that Xtreme Games, along with other parties, has infringed on ten- to 20-year-old video-game copyrights originally developed by Atari Corporation. Xtreme games denies any wrongdoing, and it is positioning its defense around the issue of developers' rights.

Andre' LaMothe, the CEO of Xtreme Games, asserts through the suit that is trying to claim the rights to the ideas behind the games. He believes this would set a dangerous precedent and stifle creativity and innovation by not letting smaller developers improve on the copyrighted ideas. He believes that the success of the suit would result in the complete domination of the gaming business by large corporations and the eventual extinction of smaller developers and publishers.

Xtreme Games is asking all individuals who agree with its stance and who wish to contribute to the company's efforts to contact the company directly.
