Polish developer Techland announced that it will be releasing a multiplayer demo for its upcoming PC rally racing sim, Xpand Rally, on August 12. The demo, which can be reserved now via GameSpot DLX, will feature one car that can be tuned and adjusted to the two included tracks, and it will give players the choice between arcade and simulation modes. Players can race against each other in a timed mode, hit the track at the same time in the head-to-head mode, or roam the track freely in the free-style mode. The full version, due this September, will include 70 tracks over five landscape types, 35 cars with 700 adjustable parts, and realistic damage modeling (on the car and driver). Xpand Rally will also ship with a set of editing tools so players can create their own tracks and cars. Players impatient for the demo can see GameSpot's impressions of the game from E3.
