Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will get a new content addition for its Expansion Pass. The third volume of the game's Expansion Pass will add some cool new modes and an entirely new character. This was revealed today during the Nintendo Direct. Additionally, we also saw a small teaser for the upcoming story content that will be part of Volume 4.

　　MonolithSoft revealed that the next hero in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is the Lapidarist Extraordinaire Masha. She utilizes a unique ore to create special accessories that you can bring into battles. As a Lapidarist, Masha will also bring her own abilities that players can learn through gameplay. This might give you the boost you need for your favorite characters and their classes.

　　Additionally, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will also bring a new wave of content in the form of a roguelike mode in which players will have to face off against several waves of enemies. Players will have to select one character to battle alone initially. Every win allows players to recruit more heroes and also gain special abilities.

　　The objective of this new roguelike mode is to keep winning battles through the buffs and heroes and face off against the final boss. You might even earn some special in-game outfits as a reward for clearing the content. Some of the outfits can look quite neat and bring references to previous games in the series, such as a Lanz outfit that makes him look like Reyn from Xenoblade Chronicles.

　　However, just as the announcement was finished, we also got a small teaser for the upcoming content that players will see in Chapter 4. The teaser included a cinematic in which Shulk and Rex faced off against Alvis. At the same time, we also saw a brief glimpse at what looks like a predecessor to Noah, the main protagonist of Xenoblade Chronicles 3. The teaser can be seen above.

　　Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Expansion Pass Volume 3 will be available on February 16. As for Volume 4, which has been stated to be quite as big as the Torna expansion from Xenoblade Chronicles 2, you can expect it to release at some point this year.
