Xbox One Armed Forces Controller Is Coming Back
Xbox One Armed Forces Controller Is Coming Back-January 2024
Jan 8, 2025 8:11 AM

The special edition Xbox One Armed Forces controller, which sports a camouflage pattern to give it a military look, is coming back. Microsoft has announced that the controller, originally released in October 2014, will start showing up again at retailers starting on November 23.

Apparently, the first run of controllers sold through. Microsoft writes on its product page that the Armed Forces controller is "back by popular demand." The only difference over the original unit appears to be that this new one has a 3.5mm stereo jack, while the first model did not.

The controller will sell for $65, which is $5 north of what the standard pad goes for. The camo controller was originally accompanied by a matching headset, and that remains available to buy for $60.

It's not the only special edition Xbox One controller, as others include the Lunar White and Covert Forces units. In addition, special edition controllers based on Halo 5: Guardians and Forza 6 are available. On top of those, you can also buy the new Elite transforming Xbox One controller for $150.
