Microsoft's Xbox Live Rewards program has finally come to Australia, almost a year after it initially launched in the UK and US. The incentives service sees users redeem Microsoft points for interacting with Xbox Live, which can then be saved up to buy Xbox Live Arcade games, or clothes for your avatar.
To start earning points, all you need to do is visit the Xbox website and sign up for the Xbox Live Rewards program. You can accrue points through a variety of ways, ranging from renewing your Xbox Live Gold membership, to participating in monthly surveys. A Microsoft Australia spokeswoman confirmed to GameSpot AU that Aussie-specific rewards were in the works, but she was unable to confirm what they would be. In the US there are rewards linked to Netflix, so it's possible Microsoft will link rewards to Foxtel subscriptions.
